Ruth Cartwright truly believes that “going back to nature” is the best way to move forward. Using this attitude and feeling inspired by the beauty of her cottage in Cheshire, she founded her natural soap business, Ruth Romano, in 2013 right in her very own kitchen.

Although she has always preferred natural and organic products over others, after battling and ultimately conquering a breast cancer fight for twelve months, Ruth made healthy products her number one priority. Ruth is very ingredient conscious and her further research confirmed that many everyday skincare products are made with chemicals that may be linked to health issues and are damaging to the environment. She wanted to create a line of naturally crafted soaps, lip balms and other skin products that would not only enhance and nourish the skin, but leave the environment a better place.

Ruth wants other people to benefit from her products and at the same time raise their awareness about the ingredients used in personal care products.

Research studies point to the fact that some of the chemicals included in everyday skincare products may be linked to health issues and some of these studies have raised concerns about the potential role of parabens in breast cancer.  Parabens are a class of chemicals used as preservatives in skincare products and although there is no conclusive evidence to link parabens with breast cancer, further research is clearly needed.

“It’s become a passion, an obsession and a way of life!” says Ruth of her soap-making interest. Ruth had always wanted to start her own business and with her dedication to a healthy and organic lifestyle, Ruth Romano seemed to be the perfect next step in her life.

Her soap-making process has expanded from the cottage kitchen to a neighbouring farm in a former stable that Ruth turned into a workshop. Ruth thoroughly enjoys hand-making each product and takes pride in every batch.

Products range from £3.99 - £14.99, making Ruth Romano an affordable option, whether shopping for yourself or gifts for others.

Founded in 2013 by Ruth Cartwright, Ruth Romano creates products ranging from soap bars, liquid soaps, bath soaks and lip balms. Each product is handcrafted with each ingredient carefully selected, sourced and formulated to provide the best quality products. All of the fragrances are provided by essential oils extracted from plants. There are no synthetic ingredients in the products and no ingredients used in them have been tested on animals. The natural, harmless and environmentally-conscious crafting of Ruth Romano products is a delicate process that owner Ruth Cartwright holds very dear to her heart. Successful Health and Well-being exhibition in Chester raises funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care charity

Diseases need to be looked beyond symptoms.

We all have a bio-energy field around us called the ‘Abha mandal’ or Aura. Reiki talks about it, Chinese medicine and Tai Chi talk about its balance and Ayurveda wants to heal it.

Diseases manifest many days after the aura is affected at subtle levels. Modern lives, the use of technology at home and the new buzz word ‘stress’ is all a by product of it. The old laws of ancient architectural sciences didn't have to deal with with electromagnetic interference or e-smog. It was unheard of. Remember we are all 90% water and the blood in our bodies contain Fe (Iron). This is the reason our brain cells are highly sensitive to any magnetic field around us. Even a magnet needle will deflect when placed near wireless hubs and smart phones. A few simple changes in your sleeping direction can work wonders because our bodies and soul are intimately attuned to the cycles of sun and moon—days, nights, seasons. For a patient with a weakened immune system , a good nights’s sleep can work wonders when a 2x2 m grid around the bed is e-smog free. Why?

….because Sleep is the best meditation.

Top tip  : For a body to properly detoxify during sleep it must be alkaline, and high electromagnetic fields lead to acidity.

Want to satisfy your hunger for a nourishing environment—without leaving home?  How about having your own sleeping sanctuary?
