Green Pages supports Host for Hope national events to help raise awareness about Pancreatic Cancer.

Host for Hope events are taking place all around the country and we are raising awareness for Pancreatic Cancer in memory of H Martin Swindells aka Mr HMS (late husband of Gaz Jabeen), who sadly lost his fight to Pancreatic Cancer last October. He died just short of 3 months from diagnosis and in that 3 months he showed great bravery with his Wheelbarrow Challenge and fight against this dreadful cancer. His wish was to help raise much needed awareness for this cancer which has one the lowest rates of survival than other cancers. We are being supported by Pancreatic Cancer UK - the main charity in the UK helping make a change. So we want to invite you to join us on at this Health & Wellbeing networking event as Novemebr is the Pancreatic Cancer awareness month and if everybody could wear something purple and maybe donate something towards fundraising that would be greatly appreciated.

Gaz Jabeen will be sharing her emotional story of Martin's bravery, his symptoms and the campaign she has carried out for her husbands wish to help make a difference to all those affected by Pancreatic Cancer and raising this much needed awareness.

We will also be lighting some landmarks in Purple lights to raise this awareness with our #purplelights campaign too.

Last year Gaz Jabeen lit the Welsh Mountain Zoo and Conwy Castle purple in his memory and this year we are bringing purple lights for hope to Chester.
